Riding Lessons
Our Program Our riding program is tailored to each individual to provide the best learning experience possible. We provide a flexible lesson plan centered around what is most important or interesting to you. We offer lessons covering the areas of western & English riding, trail, basic horse handling skills, ground work, horsemanship, colt-starting, and many more. We feel this gives you the best opportunity to develop a complete understanding of horsemanship. We also welcome you to bring your own horse for lessons. Age We are very adaptive to working with young riders and provide a low-pressure approach to teaching. We have solid lesson horses that are routinely used as children's or beginner's mounts. Children can begin our program as young as 6, but it is up to the instructor to ultimately decide if the child is old enough. This decision is based on the child's coordination, attention span, ability to follow directions, and physical strength. And remember that no one is too old to learn! Hours We offer a great amount of flexibility in the scheduling of lessons. Typically we have a few nights a week open and most weekends. Most riders prefer a weekly or bi-weekly riding schedule. This enables you to have a set time each week to come. If you cannot come that often or just want to try our riding for the first time, we are more than happy to set individual lessons. Rates Private 30 Minute Lesson $20* Private 60 Minute Handling and Riding Lesson $30* Private 60 Minute Riding Lesson $35* *(Western Pleasure & Trail lessons; English & Dressage slightly higher) Other riding options are available so please contact us with any questions or concerns you have!
