CANINE EVENTS

Vizsla Litter - Lola whelped a healthy litter of eight on June 26th!  The much anticipated litter has seven boys and one girl.  They are old enough to receive some visitors and will soon be able to be handled.  Please let Jeanie know if you would be interested in coming to visit them.  We still have some boys that are available for homes.  In the next few weeks we will be getting a feel for their personalities and what type of homes will suit them the best.

DeWitt Riding Club
Saturday August 14 and September 18

The DeWitt Riding Club hosts a fun show outside Clinton, IL.  It is not a practice show like Pekin Riding Club, but offers horseback games such as barrel racing, flags, plug, pole bending, ribbon race, and keyhole.  Classes for all ages.  $16 for non-members for as many or as few classes as you want to participate in.  Their website is www.dewittridingclub.com.

4-H Horse Show

This was the first year for the Wild Oats to participate in the McLean County and 4-H Fair.  All of our members who participated did a great job!

Luci Bianco -Horse Science - Reserve Best of Class; Dog Agility - Reserve Best of Class; Dog Care - Best of Class; Jr. Dog Handling - Reserve Best of Class

Abby Daly - Goats - 4th, 4th, 3rd

Lauren Myers - Horse fencing - A Rating

Kelsey Large - Place in multiple classes in Halter, Jumping, Dressage & Costume

Gracie Leskovisek - Placed in multiple classes in Halter, Showmanship, Western, & Trot Games

Carley Large - Showed in Cooking, Fashion Decisions, and Dogs; Dog Jr. Handling - Reserve Grand Champion

Youth Charity Horse Show
October 8 - 10

Youth Charity is a horse show at the state fair grounds in Springfield for kids 18 and under.  All the profits go to the Central Illinois Riding Therapy.  Western, English, Jumping, Dressage, and Fun classes available.  Classes divided by age group.  Show entries are due September 1st.  Post entries are $5 more a class.  We are arranging to haul horses and offering coaching for the weekend.  Please let us know if you are interested in attending.  Check out www.youthcarityhorseshow.com for more information.
